My husband is not a pàstór but a riitúàliist – Episode 14
“She gave me a white rubber chair to sit on, while she sat on her student bed. She stared at the flier a few more times, wanting to be sure it was Mr Frank she saw before throwing questions at me.”
“‘I’m sorry to ask, but what position does the guy beneath your pāstõr and his wífé on this flier hold? He looks very familiar, and I think I’ve met him before. Do you mind telling me a bit about him?’ She asked, c0nsūmed by anxïety.”
“I was glad she asked and went ahead to give her a few details about Mr Frank, making sure I didn’t say much so that I don’t satisfy her curiosity.”
“I needed to leave her in the dærk, thereby giving her a million reasons to attend the crúsàde and find answers herself. ‘He is the prāyēr coordinator in my chúrçh, and he will be handling the prāyēr section for the crúsàde,’ was all I said.”
“She sighed, releasing a whirlwind of tr0ūbled and d!stressed warm breath. ‘Okay, thank you. I’ll definitely attend the crúsàde. Thanks for inviting me,’ she said as she stood up to see me out.”
“My heart melted like an Ice block in excess Joy and triumph. I felt so relieved and lighthearted as I shook her hand and said, ‘My pleasure. I will be expecting you so kindly.'”
“I went home straight, leaping for joy like one who won a lottery. While on the bus, seeing that I was almost close to success, I began fantasizing about how rïch I would become at the end of all this.”
“I couldn’t hold my crow, and wished the days could grow taller as quickly as possible, so that Peace would d!e, and I can prepare a porridge with her haïr and left thúúmb as the hérbàlííst instructed me, take it for 7 days and begin swimming in wēālth.”
“On Wednesday morning, seeing that it had been a while, I went to work. Though I took an excuse from my boss to take care of my sïïck siblings, I thought it wise to go see him and perhaps update him on their improvement.”
“Barely 30 minutes after I got there, my phone rang, and it was my Pàstór who was calling. I picked up, and he told me to come over and assist in setting up the gadgets we intended to use for the crúsàde.”
“He gave me the location, and immediately I rounded up with my boss, I boarded a bus and headed straight to the venue of the crúsàde to assist them.”
“We normally held our crūsādes at the corners and hideouts on the streets, but this time, I never knew how and where we got the móñey to hire one of the largest sites for hosting events in Abuja, known as the Abuja International Conference Center that could accommodate up to 20,000 people.”
“My chúrçh at that time had an average of 3,000 members in all of its districts. Hence, we always did cut our coats according to our size, but I never knew what moved my pàstór or where he had the móñey to pay for such a large arena, knowing fully well that the highest we’ve had that attended our crūsādes were 5,000 people.”
“It was after that crúsàde, 3 years ago, that we grew from barely 2,000 to 3,000 members in less than 3 months, due to the many mïracles Gõd did through Mr Frank and our pàstõr before he became a slævē to the flēsh.”
“I kept pondering on this as I assisted in making sure the gears and electronics were connected and active. Every worker was present, doing what they knew how to do best, ensuring that the venue was in order before 4 pm.”
“Only my Pàstór and Mr Frank were absent, and I reckoned they were preparing themselves in the sēçrēt place of pràyérs and supplications for the crúsàde.”
“We finished putting the place in order at about 3:30 pm, and I rushed home to prepare for the crúsàde.”
“I had exchanged numbers with Felicia when I went to invite her so that I could make sure she sat in the front seats during the crúsàde and had a better view of Mr Frank.”
“I also told her that I would be among one of the leading ūshērs during the crúsàde, and if she notices any slight change or something stràñge happening to her, she could call my attention, and I would make sure she will be among the first 30 people to testify on what Gõd did for them.”
“I was intentional when I said that, knowing fully well that she was desperate for an opportunity to either see Mr Frank or let Mr Frank see her, and the best way to do that was if she was among those who would be given the mic to share their testimonies.”
“I also knew for sure that she was never going to share a testimony if she was opportuned to hold the mic but rather publicly d!sgrace Mr Frank by revealing to everyone what he did to her five years ago.”
“I knew her intent!ons and said what I said del!berately to ind!rectly inform her that I could make it easier for her to access the mic and be among the first testifiers, and have a golden opportunity to besm!rch the repūtation of Mr Frank and perhaps turn the whole chúrçh in broad daylight aga!nst him.”
“On my way home, I called her to confirm if she was getting ready, and she assured me that she would be there by 5 pm. I was glad to hear that and couldn’t wait for her to come and perhaps ru!n the life of Mr Frank, who made her go through hēēll five years ago and gh0stēd her till today.”
“And who could also make me go through a very dïff!cult and träümat!c experience if I allowed him to successfully hold the crúsàde and come over to my house to prày for my siblings, thereby expos!ng all my ev!l deeds and entanglement with a nàtíívé dóçtór.”
“I arrived home and was so glad to see James and Mercy recovering at the speed of light and regaining their health and wellness. They no longer looked dry and frail like before. They looked lively.”
“The hérbàlííst wasn’t wróñg; they regained their flēsh, strength, and just everything every hour, aside from the fact that they lost the most precïous thing peculiar to each of them and might nēvēr get it back.”
“Only Peace was dy!ng slowly, and her condition became w0rse with each passing day. Only her dēēāth could make me wēàlthy, and as much as I felt for her, I had gone too far to look back. I had no choice but to patiently wait for her to d!e.”
“According to what the hérbàlííst had told me, since I gave them – Peace in particular because James and Mercy took the põ!sõn by mïstake and are now healed – the põ!sõn three days ago, which was on Saturday.”
“The forthcoming Saturday should be the 7th day that Peace was supposed to dííé. I was so anxïous and looked forward to that day as I couldn’t wait to get r!ch.”
“It was already a few minutes past 4, and as a worker, I was supposed to be at the crúsàde by 4 pm. Since I vowed never to take my siblings to the crúsàde for fēær of being exp0sed, I left them at home, dressed up, and went for the crúsàde immediately.”
