My husband is not a pàstór but a riitúàliist – Episode 19
“‘My wife assisted the children’s leader in making sure the kids stayed calm and didn’t roam about during the crúsàde. She said she never saw your siblings among the kids and also didn’t see you with them, so she assumed you didn’t bring them along. What happened?” he added.'”
“Since I already prepared a l!e and kept it in the freezer of my heart, I never needed to beat around the bush. On Wednesday morning, when I went to see my boss, my pàstór called asking me to go to the crúsàde and help in setting up the gadgets. When I got there, I saw neither him, his wife, nor Mr. Frank. It was just me and other workers.”
“Hence, that was a golden opportunity to leverage and tell a l!e they would all believe without any shadow of doubt because they were all absent that day.”
“‘Sir, I really wanted to take them to the crúsàde, especially because, like you said, they could become completely healed at the crúsàde. But after you asked me on Wednesday morning to go help in setting up the gadgets at the crúsàde ground…'”
“‘I never expected the work to be that much. I worked from that morning down till 6 pm, and if I had gone home to bring my siblings for the crúsàde, due to traffic, I might have ended up coming back at the end of the crúsàde.'”
“‘Hence, I decided to stay back and take them to the crúsàde today,’ I said, with a quivering lower lip and my eyes downwards, feïgnïng a sõrrõwful gaze to evoke the pathos of pïty and lūrē my pàstór and his wife into my web of l!es.'”
“‘Oh, oh, I’m so sorry about that. I almost forgot I assigned you a duty that day. You really tried, God bless you. It’s okay, try coming along with them today,’ he said, and I felt so relieved and liberated.'”
“I then opened my ears in anticipation to hear him say, ‘you can go,’ so that I would hurry up and go see the hérbàlííst to know why our plan failed and plead with him to come up with a new plan, because Friday was just around the corner. If Mr. Frank should make it successfully to my house, that could mark the beginning of my end.”
“‘We received complaints from the just-concluded crúsàde that some people at the overflow barely partook in the crúsàde because the speakers were far from them, and they almost didn’t hear anything throughout the crúsàde.'”
“‘I would like you to join the brethren in hiring more speakers and mounting them at strategic locations at the crúsàde ground for tonight.'”
“‘They also complained of limited TVs for a proper view. You would also assist them in hiring more televisions to be sure that everyone, both inside and outside the hall, had a clearer view during the crúsàde,’ my pàstór said, giving me another heavy responsibility that wouldn’t allow me to go see the hérbàlííst. I felt really bæd and wished I could just say ‘No,’ but it was my pàstór, and I had no choice but to obey, despite the ræge that boïled within me.'”
“He just hindered me from going to see the hérbàlííst and, in turn, gave me another golden opportunity to hold onto as a reason why I still wouldn’t take my siblings to the crúsàde that night.”
“I knew for sure that if I opened up to him that what he just asked me to do wouldn’t allow me the chance to take my siblings to the crúsàde, he would ask his wife to go pick them up in the evening for the crúsàde.”
“Hence, I had to keep it simple as though taking my siblings to the crúsàde, despite all he asked me to do, wasn’t an issue at all. Only in doing so would he never think of trying to assist me in taking them to the crúsàde himself.”
Have you fo||owed my page Joshgenius JG Page I’m dropping a beautiful story there today. Fo||ow so you don’t miss out.
“A few minutes later, some brethren walked into his office, and he asked me to follow them to carry out the instructions he gave me. I stood up, fæked a smile, and followed them, wishing I could just disappear and go see the hérbàlííst, hear from him, and reappear to join them.”
“We roamed the streets of Abuja, hired the best speakers and televisions. We worked from that morning all through the afternoon, and by 5 pm, we had fixed them at every strategic location inside and outside the crúsàde hall.”
“The work was very tedious, and if I wasn’t doing it for the sake of my pàstór and the chúrçh, I would never go through so much stress and pain, even for a price. I was completely exhausted, but I had to bear it since I was working for Gód.”
“Immediately we finished, I refused to go home and branched to see the hérbàlííst. I had that in mind all the while, but I just wanted to finish the task my pàstór had given to me before proceeding to see the hérbàlííst. I wanted to give him that respect and also didn’t want to raise any form of suspicion.”
“I boarded a bus and headed straight to see the hérbàlííst. I sneaked into his hideout as usual and tip-toed to his shr!ne. Lo and behold, for the first time since I began to visit him, I didn’t see him.”
“In a realm of disbelief, I stood, the hērbālïïst’s absence a riddle the wind refused to unravel. I presumed he was close by and waited for 30 minutes.”
“Unfortunately, I waited in vain. The shock of his absence hit me like a lightning bolt, electrifying my senses, leaving me like a book missing its most vital chapter.”
“I became sçààréd and left the premises immediately, to check back the next day, hoping he went for a break. But my spirit was troubled because he never went for a break during the day since I started visiting him.”
“So many thoughts began to race in my head. ‘Has he given up on me? Has he seen the outcome and what happened to Felicia at the crúsàde, wasn’t happy about it, and decided to take a break? Or was he and his kingdom affected in any way during the pràyérs at the crúsàde?'”
“‘Does he always go for a break on Thursdays? Did he know I was coming and deliberately left the shr!ne because I was beginning to give him a hard time? Why would he back out at such a time as this when I needed him the most? How does he expect me to deal with Mr. Frank alone when he shows up at my house on Friday?'”
“‘Has he seen that if he continues working with me, it would lead to his dēstruc+ion and decided to back out on time? Or am I just overthinking? Did he rather go into isolation to refuel his p0wers, come back, and dēæl with Mr. Frank in another way?'”
“‘But even if he wanted to do that, he should’ve done that before now because today is the only opportunity we have to stop Mr. Frank from coming to prày for my siblings,’ I thought, as I sat inside a bus heading home, filled with anxïety like a conv!çt who was about to be exēçū+ēd the next day.'”
“I arrived home in shāmê and fēār, wondering where the herbalist had gone and why he never informed me earlier. I kept pondering on that as I dressed up and went for the crúsàde because it was already a few minutes past six. I told Ruth and Jacob to watch over their siblings until I got back, as I was determined to never take them along to the crúsàde.”
